Larry Peavler and I did a bit of birding in Louisville this morning. Boy what a difference a week makes! Very little migrant activity, although we did hear a Connecticut Warbler singing nicely on the family farm and also had Canada, Magnolia, and Chestnut-sided warblers and a Veery among commoner spp. At the Falls of the Ohio were two hooded gulls, an adult Laughing Gull and an adult Franklin's Gull. Nice comparison as they stood side by side. Also present were a few shorebirds including Semi Plover, Semi Sp and Least Sp ... although one of the local Peregrines had them on the move. bpb, ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== The BIRDKY Mailing List requires you to sign your messages with first & last name, city, & state abbreviation. -------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Kentucky Ornithological Society web site at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison, Richmond, KY E-mail: gary.ritchison@xxxxxxx
