Was hoping this afternoon something would drop in, so got off work early
enough, to have about 20 minutes of decent light. Other than the usual,
right at dusk, a pair of Goldeneye materialized above the dam and 2 distant
entirely dark ducks flying, had me intrigued, but light had faded to much
by that point to see them or where they landed. The Gull roost this
evening was at least 350 strong, with at least 5 1st and 2nd year
herrings. In the fading light no other obvious different birds were seen,
but someone should keep an eye on it tomorrow.
