There was a first-year Great Black-backed Gull at the Wastepath landfill at
Calvert City this afternoon. Lots of gulls including 12-15+ Lesser
Black-backers and a first-year Thayer’s type Iceland.
I talked to the landfill owner and he said their insurance carrier had changed
and that we would no longer be able to watch from inside the actual landfill
area but that we are welcome to continue viewing from the entrance road just as
long as we stay out of the way.
