I visited the Falls this morning after the fog burned off. Only five species of
shorebirds, *but* more individuals -- over 100 -- than I have seen there in a
couple of years. A flock of at least 30 Least Sandpipers flew in and landed on
one of the pools before scattering out again a few minutes later, and I counted
at least 77 Killdeer. I haven't been seeing the Peregrines so hopefully they
are spending more time elsewhere and we might get a little concentration of
birds around to attract others as we near the peak of fall shorebird migration.
