Bright green and yellow specimen on the playground at Floyds Fork Park this morning.a bit unexpected, to say the least. Best bird of the morning (with Bill Pike) was a nighthawk perched lengthwise on a limb high up in a sycamore near the Pope Lick bridge at the park entrance. Blackburnian warbler also spotted nearby. Others of note: Philadelphia and white-eyed vireos, prothonotary warbler (heard only) and many prairie warblers, Baltimore orioles. Also scarlet tanager, orchard oriole. 40+ species total - mostly the usuals.
