For the first time since the late 1970s (!) I just had a female Evening
Grosbeak on my feeders out back.
Anyone wishing to try to see it is welcome to stop by, but I suggest parking
along the drive before you get to the house and come in the FRONT door, which
we never use, but this will allow entry to the house w/o scaring birds at the
feeders out back.
