I found at least 4 Red-necked Grebes on Doe Valley Lake, Meade County,
yesterday. They could not be seen from the overlook at the dam. There were also
2 Common Loons (my first spring migrants of the season), 9 Lesser Scaup, and
small numbers of Pied-billed Grebes and American Coots.

At Freeman Lake at Elizabethtown I joined Bill Friel for some early evening
scanning in very nice light. The previously reported 3 Red-necked Grebes
continue there. Also present were a few Gadwall & Ring-necked Ducks, a hen
Green-winged Teal, 33 Canvasbacks, 18 Greater and 15 Lesser Scaup, a pair of
Bufflehead, 24 very actively diving Red-breasted Mergansers, and about 8 Horned
Grebes.
