I currently have three Brewer's Blackbirds on the farm. They have been in the
cattle pasture near the silos, in tree(s) around it over towards the north
sheds, and out in the big burned off Indian grass field. Anyone is welcome to
come look for them, but might let me know you are coming (502-330-3998) with
call or text.
Also ... Jamie Baker had an American Bittern at Melco this morning. We are
going to have the gate open at 2:00 pm and again after 5:30 pm (James will
update time if different) to try to see it. The bird is apparently hunkered
down in one of the small patches of willows and hopefully will remain there the
rest of the day for viewing (not close, though). Remember that Melco has to be
accessed from OUTER LOOP, north on Grade Lane to the UPS parking lot at the
"road closed" signs.
Any questions you can also call me. I suspect 2:00 to 3:00 is early window for
viewing and 5:30 to ??? later on. There are only a few shorebirds currently
there unfortunately.
