I set up a GroupMe account some time ago for this purpose (and for local
rarities) for Louisville area birders and saw very little interest locally.
However, here is a link to that GroupMe account in case we can generate some
grassroots engagement and get the group off the ground.
You're invited to my new group 'Louisville Birders' on GroupMe. Click here to
join: https://groupme.com/join_group/87017411/n6Tgl6Cl
The rules would be simple. Stick to Big Day coordination (I have a Big Day
channel set up here already) and reports/updates on local rarities. No rude
behavior, no non-birding topics; for examples.
I hope this works for Jefferson like it already has for Fayette County area
birders.

Apologize for any non-Jefferson County residents/ enthusiasts who are
receiving this, but it is the best way to reach the most people.
This is a breakdown of actual coverage on Global Big Day, May 14, 2022. Some
of the people may have been incidentally in Louisville, but most of the
people listed were officially part of the coordinated effort. If anyone on
this list is unable to participate, please let me know and I'll attempt to
make sure we have coverage for the primary spots at least. Worst case
scenario these places should be covered for best results:
