We know the AP picked up the first C-J article re vultures and I'm guessing
today's installment re the proposed federal legislation to "ease" restrictions
on killing vultures will circulate.
Occurs to me that Farm Bureau Insurance will probably also get on the bandwagon
and send out info to their membership about the "fearlessly attacking"
vultures, so if anybody wants to try to some reasonable counter-points to the
fearmongering directly to many of the target audience (the farming community),
would be good idea to prep something and initiate some dialogue with Farm
Bureau. At least they might be willing to do a more balanced piece on the
vultures than that in the more widely consumed Courier-Journal. But many farms
and rural properties in our state have Farm Bureau insurance, so they'd be a
good way to reach that audience.
