Out this morning 90 minute prior to dawn, which occurs at 0630 local time. At
Paradise S-2. There was no bird or owl activity that we noticed, however lot of
bird chatter in our yard when we returned home with the sun rising.. It is an
8 minute drive from our home to S-2, which is on a high spot with a great view
to the east.
Venus, bright as a street light, brighter. I have been watching for 6 weeks,
but usually to cloudy to see much else. Now about 10 degrees above horizon in
the east at dawn.
This morning, clear, and Saturn and Mars close together, and right of Venus.
Nice alignment. No Moon interference.
However, never did see Jupiter which earth-sky.com said may or may not be
visible on the eastern horizon at daylight.
Scorpio a highlite in southeast as entire tail visible and way up in the sky,
for KY. Antares is redder than Mars.
Yesterday, late afternoon I did hear two Pileated Woodpeckers in our back
woods. One pecking like a snare drum and the other calling.
