A couple of small puddles were all that was left of Parsons Pond this
afternoon. But those small puddles were writhing with tadpoles concentrated by
the shrinking. Counted 45 mostly satiated Great Blue Herons hanging out, along
with 14 Turkey Vultures, 3 crows and a Red-tailed Hawk. A female Wood Duck and
3 Mallards were by one puddle and a lone male Blue-winged Teal was hanging out
in the puddle I came closest to by walking along the conservation strip to
approach.
