Happy Saturday afternoon friends~ As I have done a few times a week now for two
and a half months I checked on the rare juvenile Trumpeter swan at Reformatory
Lake in Oldham County yesterday afternoon. It is looking quite wonderful with
adult colours and plumage coming in. Please see previous post for images taken
and shared. I wish that we could know if this bird is a female, or male.
While checking on the swan I saw up close and personal that a pair...not sure
if the same pair as last year, but could certainly be a possibility of Ospreys
had claimed the nest site at Reformatory lake. Both the female and male flew
right over me as they made their way across the lake and then up to the nest
