Sorry for the late post - I tried to post yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have gone thru - Found 4 rusty blackbirds along the edge of the small pond near the nature center at Otter Creek Metropark on Saturday morning. They were working the south bank foraging along the edge and sitting low (eye level and below) in the trees. Flock included 3 males in fall colors and 1 female also in fall pattern. Fairly approachable if you are slow and quiet - very nice looks at an attractive selection of fall rusties. The normal winter birds were also around in strong numbers, especially a large flock of yellow rumped warblers. ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== The BIRDKY Mailing List requires you to sign your messages with first & last name, city, & state abbreviation. -------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Kentucky Ornithological Society web site at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison, Richmond, KY E-mail: gary.ritchison@xxxxxxx
