I have missed several Harris's Sparrow photo ops by having my scope pointed at nearby Gourmet Rock when Jeeves appeared on Sunflower Rock. Yesterday afternoon, Rusty Blackbird was still hanging around and I kept snapping shots of it by Sunflower Rock whenever it appeared. Jeeves must have resented being upstaged. He suddenly appeared on Gourmet Rock, filling almost the whole field of view when I swiveled scope toward him and refocused. But by the time I turned on camera and brought it up to the eyepiece, he had headed on down to Sunflower Rock, feeding from a partially hidden position. I got one respectable shot of him this morning plus closeups of birds that were more at ease posing on Gourmet Rock. 6 new pictures from yesterday and today here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/123438032@N04/ Frank Lyne frank@xxxxxxxxxxx - near Dot in Logan County, KY ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============= When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.birdky.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
