What an incredible loss for KY birders, birds and the general public who have
been Nature-enlightened by Rob! We will miss you, Rob and Tom, and hope to
goodness that you’ll return “home” often! Best wishes on this next chapter of
life!

Rob, you will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know you, and
lots of additional people who participated in your bird walks (which I hope
have been handed to a successor).
The birding community here has been gifted with your warm personality, your
keen ear, and your sharp birding skills. Wishing you and Tom the best in
Atlanta, and hope you plan to come back from time to time!
Cheers,
James

So......
Tom is taking a new job in the Atlanta, GA area, and as much as I don’t want
to go, there isn’t much I can do in the matter. This will take place the
first week of August.
I couldn’t make a public announcement until now about this move, so please
forgive me.
It has been a wonderful, and great experience to meet, bird, and become
friends with many of you across the Bluegrass State these last 10 years.
It’s been a remarkable experience working for ,and being involved with the
Falls of the Ohio State Park, Beckham Bird Club, The Kentucky Ornithological
Society, the Louisville Zoo, and leading Spring and Fall Migration walks at
Cherokee Park here in Louisville.
Many tears have been shed in anticipation of this occurrence, but I wanted
to say goodbye, and thank you so much for the wonderful, and joyful memories
in my mind and heart.
It’s been an honor, and a privilege to see, hear, and conserve along with
many of you, the the beauty of nature and the avian world here in Kentucky
and abroad.
Good birding to each of you now and in the future!! :)
My best!!
