We took a later than average walk yesterday afternoon. I commented along the way that our late, tobacco cutting season walks are when we usually see Nighthawks. A few minutes later, at 7:32, 4 Nighthawks appeared, as if on cue. We couldn't hear their peents for all the cicadas.
