Logan County - Took my scope and both cameras with me while checking nephew’s
cattle for him this morning. There’s a 3 acre pond on one of his farms. It’s
been a while since I’ve taken any pictures through the scope and I was pretty
rusty in my technique. Some identifiable pics but most too crummy to post to
eBird. There were 38 Canada Geese hanging out in the meadow by the pond. Some
took to the water and some simply walked away from me as I approached the pond.
Saw 2 Common Snipes, a half dozen Killdeer, one Least Sandpiper and a couple of
brown ducks that were likely female or immature Blue-winged Teal.
