This evening we had 4 Harriers and one lonely Short-eared Owl. For several
minutes the owl was perched only 300 ft. in front of us. Did the cold front
push the owls further south??
We did not have our scope and it was getting dark, but two Ross or Snow Geese,
one with a bad foot, were mixed in with the Canadian Geese at where-else Goose
Lake. And, a couple hundred probably Ring Neck Ducks were also in a tight raft
on the same lake.
A Pileated Woody was at the S-3 end of the road swamp.
