McElroy Lake in Warren County dried up today except
for a few puddles and the ditch. Species present:
Semipalmated Plover 30+
Black-bellied Plover
Semipalmated Sandpiper 100+
White-rumped Sandpiper 40+
Greater Yellowlegs
Blue-winged Teal
Ruddy Duck (4)
The Black-necked Stilts and Short-billed Dowitchers
reported by Tom Durbin yesterday had departed. Tom's
observation of the dowitchers set a new late spring
date for that species.
Dave
