17 November 2004: While driving to Olmstead School on business today, I took a slightly more scenic route involving 5 extra minutes of driving back roads as opposed to US 79. I was rewarded with 4 Snow Geese feeding in corn stubble, a nice male Northern Harrier flying to my north, and upon arrival at Olmstead, 5 Eurasian Collared-Doves at the farm of John Dawson, on the eastern edge of the village where our school is located. A routine drive turned into a pleasant experience.
