After seeing what looked like a probable Longspur with some Horned Larks I
photographed yesterday, I took the scope with me on today’s afternoon outing.
Lugged it all the way to the woods and back before locating the Horned Lark
flock just behind the barn. Unable to see the view screen through my darkened
glasses, I took them off and promptly dropped them in the snow. I then found
that when I thought I had the scope focused the camera said I didn’t and
refused to focus at all. So I put my snow coated glasses back on to focus the
scope, then pulled them down on my nose and looked over them when attempting
pictures. Took 48 pictures to end up with a half dozen that included a
Longspur.
