I was able to locate the Laughing Gull and the two Lesser Blackbacks that
Brainard and Eddie reported late this afternoon on the locks of Ky. Dam.
There was also a juv. Black-crowned Night Heron patiently hunkering over
the edge of the lock. 83 Great Egrets were below the dam and 15 Caspian
Terms were on the marina roofs. All the while I was looking up and hoping
to see the Swallow-tailed Kite, but no luck.
