Subject: [birdky] KOS meeting invitation to all Kentucky birders (and anyone
else reading this!)
Mark your calendar: the annual meeting of the Kentucky Ornithological
Society will be held during the weekend of September 18th - 20th, at Barren
River Lake State Resort Park. This meeting is open to all interested
birders, family members, and friends. You do not have to be a KOS member to
attend.
We will have birding trips on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning (including
a trip for beginners,) Saturday afternoon (including a native plant walk,)
and Sunday morning. Friday and Saturday evening programs at the park lodge
will feature regionally- and nationally-known speakers.
Barren River Lake SRP is holding a block of rooms for us until August 19th.
To reserve a room or a cabin, call them at 1- 800-325-0063 or 270-646-2151
and tell them you're with KOS. The room rate is $79.95 plus taxes and resort
fee. The park web site is at
