birding-related items for our KOS Silent Auction as noted below.

KOS will be holding a silent auction on Saturday evening at the KOS
meeting, which will be held September 16-18, 2022, at Pine Mountain State
Resort Park.
Please consider bringing items for auction that are bird- or
birding-related; proceeds will benefit KOS. Whether it's bird feeders, nest
boxes, bird books or field guides, or any other items that would resonate
with birders and conservation-minded people, we appreciate
your contributions for this fund-raiser.
Bids will be in $1.00 increments, and some items will have a posted
starting bid (i.e., unmarked items start at $1.00). To simplify things,
this will be a *cash-only* auction, so please plan ahead. (Some of you
might be thinking, "be like a chickadee and bring small bills!")

Some of you may have asked about Pine Mountain SRP, so please take note:
1. At the moment, the SRP is booked fully for the weekend. There may be
cancellations, but you'll need to check in with the reservations desk to
find out. Otherwise, I'm sure the local hotels and campgrounds are filling
up fast, so don't procrastinate.
2. At the moment, Pine Mountain has not been leveraged for any regional
flood relief operations, so the KOS meeting is on schedule. If anything
changes in this regard, watch this space for updates.
