With Parsons Pond completely dry, I was surprised to find John U Young Road
still blocked by water across the road. Just had to pull down as far as I could
and scan. Usually, when the water gets off the road, there are shorebirds on
either side of the road. None there today besides Killdeer. Only highlights - a
Mallard hen with duckings and a pair of Blue-winged Teals. Teals really
shouldn’t make the rare bird alert, because some always stay if the water stays.
