At first feeding today (6:30), Jeeves was in the field again. After one quick hit at corn rock, blackbirds began to show up. Jeeves hopped back, but not on down his usual trail. He eyed the blackbirds, then flew to the top of a briar and sat there a while. Then he flew toward the house where he still was when I came in. With rain predicted to wash the snow away, I decided today was the day to get some nearby shots of Jeeves through the scope if I ever am. I sat stakeout from 8:30 until 10:00 at the East corner of the house, about 15 feet from the feeder. Even that close, I couldn't keep all the blackbirds shooed away. Did not attempt to take any photos of Jeeves feeding because my movements can spook him. Only attempted shots of him in the shrub that is his yard chill spot. I believe I did okay. 2 close-ups of Jeeves and 1 Swamp Sparrow here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/123438032@N04/ Frank Lyne frank@xxxxxxxxxxx - near Dot in Logan County, KY ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============= When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.birdky.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
