This morning a blue jay had ice on a couple of its crest feathers on each side
of it's head, which drooped and looked liked sparkly earrings. It kept try to
shake them loose.
It seems a lot of birds were not able to get out of the freezing rain
completely last night at their roosts.

Cardinals, juncos, purple finches, white-throated sparrows and goldfinch all
have ice on their tails. And they are eating like mad. Glad I remembered to
get seed when I did my storm preparations.
