For the Record, convertibles are excellent birding cars, if the top is down.
Occasionally when I travel, I rent convertible for that very purpose, plus
the fun of it.

Subject: [birdky] Ibis and Scissors-tailed Fly catcher
Made an impromptu trip to Long Point to see the Ibis and Black-necked stilt.
Saw the Ibis, missed the stilt but did find Bobolink on the road to Open
Pond (between the first and second turn). On the way back to Hickman, a
Scissors-tailed Fly catcher flew across inform of Donna and I. See Hap
convertibles do make good birding cars! Also got Eurasian Collard Dove_the
same way.
