Getting the alert yesterday from eBird of a Brown Pelican at Lake Pee Wee,
reported by Donna Strickland, I made a trip down there this morning.
Of course I dipped on the Brown Pelican.
I stopped at the water plant and, scanned the lake, then birded from Mahr Park
parking by the canoe/kayak launch and walked part of the path that overlooks
the lake.
Several fishermen out in their kayaks, boats, and pontoon boats made me
discouraged for any sighting of the Brown Pelican.
I kept seeing an Osprey in the distance near the dam, then surprise, surprise
he flew right over me for a nice picture.
