I hate to chase for birds. It is much more enjoyable if I find something and
not chase what somebody else has found.
It would not have been a lifer anyway. I had 1 back in April 2015 in Henderson
Co. and several in February 2017 near Fort Walton FL.
Looks like I waited too long to look for the Long-tailed Duck. Should have
checked yesterday.
I could not find it. Looked from Water Treatment Boat Ramp, from
Tucker-Schoolhouse Road access, and from the Kayak launch at Mahr Park.
One problem was there was a fisherman out on the lake near the intake. So he
had to launch from boat ramp.
Second problem was there were 3 guys training their dogs in the water at
Tucker-Schoolhouse Road access.
Third problem was the fine mist/fog over the lake.
It may yet be found.
