On my way back from Union Co. I detoured by the Sloughs.
The Crenshaw Tract is still closed, but I could observe this small flooded area
from KY136.
Got my first Green-winged Teal of the season there.
Not much going on at the Sauerheber Unit.
Then at the flooded area at the intersection of J Dance Road and KY268 I found
a Ross’s Goose.
Another first of the season.
I saw no other geese in the area.
The Ohio River is on the rise AGAIN. I have not been able to get out to
Horseshoe Road, West Franklin Road, Jenny Hole Unit, or Highland Creek Unit.

I then drove out to West Franklin Road and found about 40 Ring-billed Gulls at
the far end of a fluddle.
