Despite the dank morning I hit the Sloughs for some birding.
The only gate open was by the headquarters leading bank to Gentle Pond area.
So that’s where I started.
Not much at Anderson Pond.
Next I walked a large loop: East side of Hardy Slough, south side of Hardy
Slough, Shorebird Unit, east side of Wood Tract south and back via KY268.
Highlight of the day was at Sand Slough with 7 yellowlegs; I don’t know which
they were too far away.
Prior to hitting the Sloughs I stopped and checked out the Star School Road
