I spent a good amount of time driving around not finding much.
I tried to get to Horseshoe Road slough via KY136 but there was a too deep mud
hole on the way. So I went via U’town/Mt. Vernon Road.
But hardly anything at HRs. Lots of water. Did see a flock of some unid
shorebirds on the far waters edge.
Drove out to Sand Slough via West Franklin Road. Horse Pond Slough had lots of
Blue-winged Teal. At Sand Slough had a few Blue-winged Teal and some yellowlegs.
Finally at the Sauerheber Unit I walked from KY268 along the east dike of Wood
Tract south and along the Shorebird Unit dike. Then did Pond Creek Marsh.
