Jeff’s report got me looking for shorebirds. I could not find Jeff’s Phalarope.
So I drove around western Henderson Co. checking out wet spots.
In order: Southard Farm fuddle, Muddy slough, Wood Tract north, Horseshoe Road
slough, KY1574, Shorebird Unit, and a walk around Hardy Slough impoundments. I
tried to get to the fuddle next to U’town/Mt. Vernon Road in Union Co., but the
river is up just over action stage and over my access road.
