For a couple of weeks Les and I have been seeing HAIRY WOODPECKERS. Today we saw the female filling her mouth full of suet and carrying it away. So we think that she has young ones to feed. This is the first time we have had this species breeding here. Today we had DOWNY and two RED-BELLIED at the same time as the HAIRY. All of them were loading their beaks full of suet and taking it to another location. The RED-BELLIED took their suet in opposite directions, so we think there are two pairs with young. As usual we have several warblers around the house and some seem to be nest building.
