Hi All,
Les and I went out in the VERY rainy and cool weather to do some
birding. We found three (3) GREEN-BACKED HERONS at the ponds on the
John's Creek Golf Course. Other birds of interest: BANK and BARN
SWALLOWS, YELLOW WARBLER, YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER, EASTERN KINGBIRD,
CANADA GEESE (5), and about 20 more usual others. Here at Happy Valley:
SUMMER and SCARLET TANAGER, AMERICAN REDSTART, WHITE-EYED VIREO,
RED-EYED VIREO, OVENBIRD, BLUE-WINGED WARBLER, BR THRASHER, BARRED OWL,
YB CUCKOO, ETC.
Cheers, Joan of Art and Nature,
Happy Valley, South Williamson, KY (Pike County)
