I went for a paddle on Green River this morning. The water is still up in the
rush and too high for much shorebird habitat, but the herons are beginning to
congregate.
Double-crested Cormorant
Bald Eagle
Great Blues
Great Egret 1-2
Black-crowned Night-Heron 4-6
Green Herons
Spotted Sandpiper 1 juv. (It looked too clean and spotless to be out playing in
the mud.)
Prothonotary Warblers still singing
Birding smiles . . . . .
