As Alison and I passed middle pond at about 7:15 this morning, a pair of Canada
Geese remained stationary as we passed. They assumed what I think could be
defined as defensive posture. They took off after we were around a tenth of a
mile beyond the pond. I think their behavior is a pretty good indication that
they plan to nest there.
