Three young Whooping Cranes had refused to migrate from Wisconsin. After
all other cranes had flown south, it was decided to move them to Goose
Pond in the hopes they would migrate from there. And boy did they,
within hours they were detected flying near Kentucky headed south at
over 40mph.
