That’s why the scrub jays on Merritt Island NWR surround you when you get
out of your vehicle. Very easy place to locate them but they are obviously
habituated to people.

Now not recommended to feed Florida Scrub Jays, and in fact, illegal, on
Federal park land.
Makes one think twice about feeding at all, example, attracts birds close
to our houses, increasing window hits.....feeding scrub jays close to the
highway, which many people did, increases vehicle hits.
