Can someone with a better scope, come to the falls of the Ohio and confirm
there is a long-tailed duck swimming with Goldeneye near shippingport
Island? My scope isn't strong enough to verify. A small duck,
smaller-bodied than accompanying Goldeneye, with a very white head, dark
bill, and relatively black and white patterned back, is diving actively,
disappearing for 40 seconds to minute at a time. It is feeding currently
on the left side of the island towards the dam, way next to the shore of
shippingport.
