There are often big flocks in the pastures where Rose Island Rd intersects
with Hwy 42, right on the border o between Oldham and Jefferson.

Clay Bliznick and I participated on the Reelfoot Lake CBC on Sat., Dec
15th. Despite the showery, drizzly, rather raw day, we compiled a nice list
of about 77 species (5 in TN parts of Long Point).
Our highlights included an American Bittern, a Lincoln's Sparrow, and a
male Common Yellowthroat on the Long Point Unit (KY) and a singing Western
Meadowlark near the jct. of Midway Church Road and KY 971 south of Open
Pond.
There were a lot of waterfowl in the area including a few thousand Snows
and White-fronts. We saw at least four Ross's Geese through the drizzle in
one foraging flock.
The species tally for the count was an impressive 119!
