On the way back from the KOS meeting Leif Anderson called to report a few gull sightings around the dams. At Kuttawa he had one adult Lesser Black-backed gull. At KY Dam he located one 1st winter Laughing Gull and 3 Franklin's Gulls along with several Bonaparte's Gulls. Melissa Easley and I met up at Pirates Cove on Jonathan Creek. Approximately 40 Forster's Terns were sitting along with Pectoral Sandpipers, Killdeer and Ring-billed gulls. One 1st winter Franklin's gull was feeding around the mud flat off Highway 80. Many Least and Pectoral Sandpipers were also seen from the point.
