Hello birders...
I was sitting in my study this afternoon doing some work work when I got a
message from a local friend. He sent me a picture of some shore birds he
found on our small local lake, Doe Run Lake and park. He had found 3 very
cooperative (he said he walked right up to them) Willets hanging out at the
dam on some driftwood. I high-tailed it straight over there and re-found
them, but the were no longer on the bank. They had moved to a floating log
in the middle of the lake. I got a few pictures but nothing like the ones
he sent me. I believe it's the first e-bird record of this bird in Kenton
County. If my pictures are any good, I'll post on the flikr site.
