I did my first BBS route over the weekend and tallied 62 species and 1262
individual birds. Most were on par with what had been seen before but I
did find one singing male Bobolink. One of the fun highlights was while
watching a Turkey Vulture in a field a Wild Turkey came out of some long
grass next to it. They stared at each other for a good while looking
confused as if thinking “there’s something familiar about you”.
