Nine birders joined me this morning at Cherokee Park from 8am till 1130 am for
a great day of fall migrants.

Weather was cloudy but dry and cool. 54 species were tallied including 11
warbler species and 4 vireo.

Birding continues to be best by creek across from entrance of maple road. That
is were we had n. Waterthrush,golden-winged, flycatchers, and several others.
Birds including grosbeaks, tanagers, vireos, warblers and flycatchers were
feeding pretty low in the secondary growth there.

Off to CA for a few days for birding and a pelagic ; ) hoping to finally break
