Most days since Jeeves has been coming to the yard feeder, I've checked him
each day with binoculars through the glass of the kitchen window. I have not
noticed any change in his appearance, even though many of the other feeder
birds are obviously molting. This morning I watched for him in the yard with
the scope. Since I hadn't done that in some while, he was shier than he used to
be. Even so, I managed to get a couple of so so pics. I can see some black on
the back of his head that wasn't there before, his cheeks look grayer, and
there might be more black on his flanks. Not a striking difference so far, but
some.
