I have decided to cancel the BBC Field Trip to the Falls of the Ohio
originally scheduled for 8am tomorrow. I drove by briefly this afternoon
and did not see much there. Recent eBird reports had species counts in the
single digits with nothing exciting present over the past couple of
months. I believe the low species count is likely due to the river level
being high enough to keep the rocks in the basin of the Falls submerged for
the past couple of months. The temperature will also be in the low 20's
in the morning, not great weather for birding and trying to operate
scopes.
Sorry for the late notice. If you had planned to go and know others who
were planning to go, please help spread the word.
