Decided to stop at Camp Ernst Lake on my way home this afternoon (4:10-4:30) and check things out. Found the usual mallards and canadas feeding in the grassy area and one white bird among them. At first thought it was a Snow Goose, turned out to be a ROSS'S GOOSE. Went home to get camera ( 7 min. away) and return, but the bird was gone. Will check again tomorrow. Uncommon to rare bird for up here.
